Here are fifth grade fluency scores from our Reading and Rhythm sessions at Topanga Elementary School. The following chart shows the significant results achieved after two weeks. The sessions were one hour each and were held twice a week between April 19 and April 30, 2004.

The fluency tests are from Open Court Reading, the textbook used in the majority of elementary schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Fluency tests were given prior to participating in the Reading and Rhythm program and after.
