The Rhythm of Learningsm Program uses rhythm to establish a classroom management system, giving teachers the tools to unify and focus students.

This program promotes active listening, increases individual participation and learning capacity, builds community and dispels stress and disruptive behaviors.

The Rhythm of Learning Program uses rhythm to establish a classroom management system, giving teachers the tools to unify and focus students. This program promotes active listening, increases participation and learning capacity, builds community, and dispels stress and disruptive behaviors.

Program Goals

  • Increase students' test scores
  • Train teachers in Drumming For Your Life (DFYL) method -- making teaching easier and more productive.
  • Reduce teacher burnout and attrition
  • Unify classroom -- increasing positive communication
  • Increase students focus and concentration

Program Specifics - Twelve week program

  • The school selects five teachers (five classes) to begin training
  • Classroom teachers attend a pre-program, 2 hour workshop
  • The DFYL Facilitator works 30 minutes daily in each classroom with teacher and students for 6 weeks
  • The DFYL Facilitator works 1 hour per week with teacher and 30 minutes per week with the class for a further 6 weeks
  • By the 3rd week, classroom teachers begin to co-teach with the DFYL Facilitator
  • Classroom teachers take over (solo teaching) while DFYL Facilitator observes (and gives feedback outside of class)

Final cost for 12 week program: $10,500
