Drumming for Your Life program, which Steven Angel introduced on February 23, 2005 for the students at Compton College CDS SB1095 after school program. This program has been a benefit to the students whom have had a problem reading out loud in their class group readings and to them self’s. The students have learned key tools to help them read more fluently like relaxing the body and focusing the mind. This key tool has helped our students connect to the literature they are reading and also help them to retain the information of their class assignments. The students have also build more trust in them self’s and also among their fellow classmates since all the students are from different nationalities.

The usage of rhythm while reading has helped our students push them self’s mentally to read on through the words. The students are now more willing to participate in reading since this program has helped them gain more self-esteem and also raising their reading scores.

Sincerely,
