Rhythm of Learning Charter School students will rigorously pursue a fundamental, standards-based instructional program that parallels the core curriculum used in the elementary schools of the Los Angeles Unified School District.

These are the goals of the Rhythm of Learning Charter School:

• Students will develop the highest levels of cognitive and analytic capacity and thinking skills that lead to the most relevant use and synthesis of information.
• Students will take full advantage of their cognitive and emotional readiness for learning.

• Students will actively and enthusiastically pursue their creative interests and abilities.
• Students will develop high levels of social functionality and demonstrate their emerging leadership skills.

As the focal outcome, Rhythm of Learning Charter School students will matriculate with the essential skills to insure successful future academic and social pursuits in real world situations. Rhythm of Learning students will measurably achieve at levels that exceed the academic performance of students in surrounding schools in the target area.

Enhancing the educational program of the Rhythm of Learning Charter School will be the continuous and seamless integration of the rhythmic activities of the Drumming For Your Life Rhythm of Learning program, which have demonstrated the capacity to significantly improve student achievement, engagement in learning and social behavior.
